Description: Sandy is a 4 year old, Jack Russel Terrier & Corgi mix. She has been spayed & is up-to-date with all her shots.

She came to us from a barn in Tennessee. She is a lovely little lady, however its clear that the shelter she came from has definitely left its mark on her. She is a skittish dog, mostly around other dogs & especially around big trucks. However, Sandy has come a long way & is starting to break out of her shell! She is still alert around other dogs, but is growing more & more curious everyday. She's not afraid to approach & "sniff them out".

I think she is finally understanding that some dogs just wanna say "Hello" & play --rather than wanting to fight. She LOVES walking around the lake at home & of course chasing after all the wildlife ( such a terrier ) She has an ENDLESS amount of energy now! She loves rolling on her back & playing what we call "Tickle War"--where if you stop tickling her she will start pawing at you & tickle you back! She really is quite a silly girl.

Sandy's biggest problem WAS learning to be house trained. But we have worked really hard & she has now CONQUERED potty-training!!! GO SANDY!!! I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!!!! All that time living in a barn, well you can imagine -- no one took the time to teach her anything. Therefore, we are being extremely adamant about training Miss Sandy! She loves learning new tricks. So far she knows "Come", "Sit",& "Down"...Sometimes she throws a couple of crazy moves in there, but that's Sandy! She LOVES to entertain us with her antics. She is such a DIVA!

Other than being a little frightened at times, Sandy is a loving companion for anyone. She has loads of energy- loves to investigate outside on our walks. But she wears herself out a lot-- so she definitely LOVES to crash & catch up on her "beauty sleep".

I love laying on the couch with her. She is a BIG TIME cuddle-bug! WATCH OUT!!!! She's a kisser too! Nobody's face is safe from the " KISS MONSTER ".... AHHH!!! I love spending my days with this little lady & I'm sure that ANYONE who could take the time & get to know her would feel the same!

Sandy is a beautiful JRT mix who is so happy to be in her foster home, living the good life and waiting for her forever family to discover her. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, has had a fecal, is heart worm negative, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $325.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue
