Dogs Needing Homes

Pablo

Breed: Dachshund Corgi

Age: Adult
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Description: Pablo Update:

Pablo has made such tremendous strides in his foster home these past few weeks. He is such a wonderful, fun dog! He has the personality of about five dogs!! Pablo is well on his way to being house trainedhe hasnt had any house-training issues in weeks! He likes to sleep in his kennel at night, but otherwise he is out and about all day with no problems. Pablo is the kind of dog who loves company, so it would be preferable if his forever home had other animals (dogs and cats are great), just so he'd have some friends to play with when his forever-parents aren't around. Being a high-energy kind of dog, Pablo should also not be crated for too long a time during the day. He does very well when he does need to be put in a crate, but too much crate-time in his life would be hard on the little guy.

Pablo is still a little unsure of his foster dad at times, and he can get protective of his space if he feels threatened. There havent been any serious situations, but Pablo will need some special care while getting readjusted to his forever home.

The vet was convinced at Pablos visit that he was a corgi/dachshund mix. While that will always be a mystery, what is clear is that Pablo is a gem and will show never-ending devotion and love to his new family. They will have to show just as much devotion to him and love and care for him the way he deserves.

Meet Pablo! This wonderful, goofy, curious and active dog just celebrated his 3rd birthday. Pablo came to MN from a rescue organization in TN, and we are unsure of why he was there.

Pablo is a 20 lb chihuahua dachshund mix. Because he is a little overweight and has an active personality, his forever home would need to be committed to exercising him regularly. Also, he is a big little dog who loves to play, so he may be too strong for young children.

Pablo is currently being fostered with two resident dachshunds and a cat, and he gets along well with all three. He really enjoys having other animals around. It took him about an hour to warm up to his foster mom, but hes taking a little longer with his foster dad. Every day Pablo gets more comfortable and affectionate.

Pablo is not 100% house trained, but he is making tremendous strides every day and accidents are fewer and farther in between. At the moment, he is crated when we are away and at night. Once house trained, crating him will be unnecessary.

If you are interested in a lively, loving dog who loves treats, walks, looking out the window and snuggling on the couch, Pablo is the dog for you!

Pablo is neutered, up to date on shots and heart worm negative. His adoption fee is $325
