Description: Nathan is a very well reserved, older gentleman. He is extremely well-behaved and loves to lounge around. He seems to be sad and lonely. He tends to hide under the table or anything bigger than him but comes out as soon as he knows you want to pet him. He loves to lay next to you or in your lap and fall sleep. He would be perfect for a retired couple or a single man or woman looking for a great companion. He doesn't require much exercise at all. He sleeps and stays in his kennel without barking or crying. He is good with other dogs, just minds his own business. Overall, a perfect companion for someone who needs a little TLC.

Since Nathan has gotten used to his surroundings we keep him out of his kennel at night to sleep and during the day. He is extremely good and just sleeps all day. He has not even attempted to chew on anything and has never had an accident. He is very-well potty trained. Also, in the 2 weeks with us he has never barked once. He has also gone on a road trip with me and rode in the front seat the whole way and was very calm. The person I stayed with also had a dog and we left both of them out while we were gone and they just left each other alone. He is extremely good with other dogs and gets attached to you very quickly. He loves being next to you cuddling.

Nathan came into rescue as a stray and he is neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm tested, de-wormed, and micro-chipped. He will need to take a pill daily for a thyroid condition and the meds will cost about $25 per month. His adoption fee is $290.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.
