Dogs Needing Homes
Zena
Breed:
Miniature Pinscher
Age: SeniorSex: Female
Size: Small Description: Zena is a character! If you are looking for an affectionate, spunky, opinionated girl, look no further! Zena is a youthful 11 years old and is full of vim and vinegar. She absolutely adores her chosen person, and is not shy about letting people outside of her family circle know just what she thinks about them. Apartment living probably isn't for her, since she's not afraid to voice her opinions - and she's got lots of them!
Zena does just fine with other dogs as long as they acknowledge her status as Queen of the Universe, and in fact lived with another Min Pin for most of her life. If you have another dog, Zena will happily tolerate his or her existance in exchange for getting to live with YOU, her one and only. In fact, she really likes her current doggy foster sister, and will lick her and keep her face clean. Kids aren't really her thing, and she'd prefer a more mature home. Zena's a champion kisser, and loves to sit at her special person's side. She'd be a great tv-watching buddy!
Zena is living proof that you can in fact teach an old dog new tricks. She recently graduated from an obedience class. She's a fast learner (the treats help, of course), and she learned all sorts of great things like come, sit, lie down, stay, leave it, etc. Zena's of the opinion that she doesn't get nearly as many treats as she'd like, but she's currently on a diet to regain her girlish figure.
Zena is housetrained and crate trained. She is currently crated for the work day and loves to hit the open trail for a nice walk. Her ears flap up and down as if saying hello to the passerbys.
Zena loves her foster mom, but she'd love a forever home even more. If she sounds like the one for you, please contact Small Dog Rescue and make sure to ask for Zena! She can't wait to be somebody's special girl.
Zena is spayed, up to date on shots, has had a dental, is heart worm negative, on flea and tick prevention, and micro-chipped. Adoption fee $280.
