Dogs Needing Homes
Dori
Breed:
Miniature Pinscher
Age: AdultSex: Female
Size: Small Description:
Dori is a 8lb, 8 year old, Red min pin. She was originally used for breeding and she was also "debarked" by the breeders. Dori was taken in by a good Samaritan when the breeder decided have Dori euthanized because she was finished breeding her. Because of her previous life, Dori takes a couple of days to warm up, but once that happens she settles in very well. She is crate trained, but since she came to her foster home, she sleeps at the end of her foster moms bed. When she first arrived, it was apparent that her airway was restricted because of the debarking. She has since had surgery at the University of Minnesota to remove scar tissue from her throat and she can now breathe easier.
Dori is fine around dogs, for the most part she just keeps her distance. She pretty much just leaves cats alone. She has a history of being uncomfortable around small kids so she will not be placed in a home with them, after the life she's had, we think she deserves to be comfortable. She's very loving and very sweet. She spends most days relaxing around the house. She is house broken, but doesn't really know how to tell you when she needs to go out except for trying to run back and forth till you take her out. She's such a good dog and would be great for anyone that wants a mellow dog around. She's easy to take care of! She needs someone that will love her as much as she will love you.
Dori is spayed and had a much needed dental with 3 extractions. She is up to date with shots and is heartworm and intestinal parasite free. Dori is microchipped and her adoption fee is $300 even though her vetting costs totaled over $2,000.
