"Psstt!!! Guess what?? I really really love getting petted and I am working on liking belly rubs even now!! Who KNEW there'd be so much pleasure just getting petted by my foster mom and kid?! I wish I'd have been brave enough months ago, now that I know what I missing! I'm even letting relative strangers pet me as long as they are slow and easy. And boy do I like getting scratched behind the ears! Good stuff!!!"
Charo has become such a delightful young girl! The changes this dog have gone through in the time she's lived with us is nothing short of amazing! She came to us a scared, snippy, unsocialized pup and she has blossomed into a a funny, excitable, calm pup! She's fully house-trained and is going a step further and starting to sit by the door on her own when she's gotta go. She plays with toys just a little bit though that's a work in progress. She gets along perfectly with the resident dog and absolutely loves the resident 8 yr old girl too! Charo has not been around cats at all, but I imagine she'd be fine with one. Going on a walk is a new fun thing for her to do too! She walks SO nicely! She sleeps in a kennel all night, very contentedly and really is just a breeze of a dog to have around!!
Charo is a 6 year old, 13 pound chihuahua mix. She is spayed, up to date on shots, heart worm negative, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $290.

- You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.
- Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophical opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.
