Dogs Needing Homes

Thandi Newton

Breed: Chihuahua Boston Terrier

Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Description: Thandie is a brown 3.5 year old, 11lb chi/boston terrier mix. She is short to the ground and a bit overweight. Despite that, she is still a really good jumper, especially if there are treats involved. She has a great little personality. She loves to play with her little brother, but would do well being an only dog if a person was around a lot.( She is used to having a lot of attention and hanging out with her person all the time.) She absolutely loves walks and prances around in circles if you get the leash out. She is a fairly calm, brave, and confident dog and she has been reported to love swimming. As a little dog, though, she can't swim very far without being exhausted. She has been exposed to a lot of different situations in her short life and tends to handle upheaval/change really well. She knows a few commands like "sit" and "outside" and does them really well! She needs a few minutes to warm up to people, sometimes, and does not like children. She is outdoor trained. She likes to sleep in a little cardboard box in the same room as her person.

Thandie is spayed and up to date with shots. She is heartworm negative and has been dewormed. Thandie is microchipped and her adoption fee is $330

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
