Dogs Needing Homes

Spud

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier

Age: Adult
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Description: Spud is full of love, personality, and playfulness. He’s so much fun and is incredibly easy to have around. Spud loves soft squeaky toys, rawhide chews, going for walks or car rides, and sleeping on the bed. He likes humans but because he was bullied by some of the dogs in his former home, he can be a little scared of other animals at first. Spud would do best in a home with either no other pets or possibly one, given time to understand that the other pet isn’t going to hurt him.

Spud knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, and speak. He has earned the nickname “Air Spud” by launching himself through the air when he plays fetch. His vertical is pretty amazing! He always catches the toy or treat, too. Spud would appreciate a family who will play with him, walk him, and let him lounge on a soft blanket on the couch.

He has tons of love to give and his foster mom isn’t home very much so please give Spud his forever home! He deserves it.

He is completely house-trained, weighs about 20 pounds, and just turned 8 years old. Spud is neutered, has had a dental and fecal test, and is current on all shots, heartworm testing, and bloodwork. Spud has also been microchipped. His adoption fee is $330.

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
