Dogs Needing Homes
Charlie
Breed:
Jack Russell Terrier
Corgi
Age: AdultSex: Male
Size: Small Description:
Charlie the 5 year old 16lbs Jack Russell/Corgi mix True to his JRT heritage, Charlie loves to play, be active, and go for walks. He currently goes on at least one walk a day, although he might prefer closer to twenty! He also loves snuggling on the couch, taking naps, chew toys, and riding in the car. Charlie has made tremendous strides in his time in foster care. He has turned into quite a gentleman in regards to house training. Charlie occasionally is placed in a kennel when his foster parents are away, and he enjoys sleeping in his kennel at night. He does well when he is kenneled, but too much kennel-time in his life would be hard on this little guy. Charlie, while he does fine with other animals, has a hard time sharing his people and his toys so we would feel he needs to go to a home with no other animals. He wants to be the center of attention! Charlie loves the company of people and his forever home should ideally provide a lot of human companionship. He can sometimes be a little unsure of visitors and strangers and he can get protective of his space if he feels scared. But if introduced correctly with treats involved, he will do fine.
When outside, just like any other terrier, he does like to bark when strangers are passing by, so he may need some help with this. Like any dog, Charlie will need to readjusted to his forever home. Charlie's previous life is a bit of a mystery, but what is clear is that this little guy will show never-ending devotion and love to his new family. They will have to show just as much devotion to him and love and care for him the way he deserves. So if you are interested in a lively, loving dog who loves treats, walks, looking out the window and snuggling on the couch, Charlie is the dog for you!
He is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, had a dental, has had a fecal, and is micro-chipped. He is also eligible for a 10% lifetime discount for health insurance, and his new parent(s) will be gifted a 30 day trial of health insurance, too. His adoption fee is $290.
