Dogs Needing Homes

Breed: Affenpinscher

Age: Adult
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Description: Tommy is the sweetest little guy! He is 18 pounds, house-trained, but won't let you know when he wants to go out so you must be mindful of bathroom breaks (usually every 3 hours). Tommy does seem to be weary of males at first meeting, but warms up to them very quickly when shown patience and affection. He knows sit, stay and shake. Tommy much prefers dogs his own size as company, the big dogs make him nervous and aggressive at times. He doesn't mind cats at all. Small children would probably not mix well with Tommy because he does not like to share his toys. He has the sweetest personality and is very playful with people and other small dogs. He loves a good belly rub too! Tommy is a very easy going dog and is happy to lay by your feet or rest his head in your lap and will make for a wonderful companion!

Tommy is neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm negative, has had a fecal, is on flea and tick prevention, and is micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $350.

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
