Dogs Needing Homes
Charo
Breed:
Chihuahua
Age: AdultSex: Female
Size: Small Description: Charo is adjusting very well from her scared, skitterish self into an almost happy, quiet mellow girl. She's 95% housebroken, knows come and kennel-up and is learning most people don't hurt pups! She learns from and follows the 5 year old shih tzu sibling and naps and chills out and naps with the 15 year old shih tzu sibling. She takes treats and little snacks from foster mom, the 6 year old daughter and from Grandma now! Short small walks are okay, and getting better, but they do stress Charo out a little. She's not interested in any laps or sitting too close to anyone yet and if you move too quickly, she will jump and maybe run off til she knows what you're doing for sure. She's not playing yet with any dog toys and is VERY scared of the vacuum; best if you put her in her kennel or outside while you vacuum quick! She will let you pet the top and back of her head if she can sniff you first and you move slowly. She likes a lil rubbing behind the ears, too! She likes consistency, calm and would not do too well in a family with small children. Older, respectful ones she should be fine with.
Charo is a 5 year old, 13 pound chihuahua mix. She is spayed, up to date on shots, heart worm negative, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $325.

- Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Until then, however, we must charge it.
