Dogs Needing Homes

Chance

Breed: Pekingese

Age: Young
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Description: Check out that face!!! He is an incredibly handsome guy and a sweetheart to boot! We have no idea what his story is but someone gave up a real winner! He is quiet, gentle, loving, playful, housetrained and sleeps next to the bed at night. If I didn't have two dogs, I would keep this guy! We guess that he is about 1-2 years old and is a purebred. Chance is very polite with his requests for outside, treats or dinner. He waits his turn while the other dogs get treats. He likes to play and chase and will very gently and playfully touch your fingers in his mouth. He's very quiet in the house and loves to "hang out" with you but will bark at the door. All he wants is to be in the same room with you but will cuddle in if you hold him. His bark is low pitched and soft. As far as we can tell, he will be great around kids. He is a little food possesive but ONLY with the other dogs. He walks well on a leash without a lot of tugging and socialized well with all the distractions around Lake Calhoun. He does require twice weekly brushing! Excellent car rider and all around grand companion.

Chance is a purebred peke, we're guessing about 2 years old, maybe younger, who was thin and full of fleas when he came into rescue. He is looking better now and is happy to be on his way to good health. He is absolutely stunning and very sweet.

Chance is neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm tested, de-wormed, frontlined, on heart worm preventative, and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $350.

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
