Dogs Needing Homes

Abesque

Breed: Papillon

Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Description: Abesque is a very sweet and affectionate little girl! She has no teeth due to them all being rotted and broken and needed to be removed, so her tongue always is hanging out of right side of her mouth! It's adorable! When she was spayed they also realized that she had a uterine infection from overbreeding. She doesn't bark very much and likes to lay on anything she finds that is soft. She doesn't pay attention to any other dogs or cats and likes to just be near her people. She loves to be held and doesn't mind brushing. She hasn't quite gotten the concept of going potty outside or on peepads, but it will come in time. She does get somewhat jealous when other dogs come around her when she's trying to cuddle, but its understandable, after living in a small kennel for 9 years she has to make up for lost time! Abesque gets extremely anxious when kenneled and needs a home where she will not need to be kenneled at all.

Abesque is a 9 year old, 6 pound papillon who was used as a breeding dog in a puppy mill until the mill owner was forced to downsize. She was one of the lucky ones who made it out and she is soaking up the world outside of a cage. Abesque is spayed, up to date on shots, heart worm negative, de-wormed, frontlined, on heart worm preventative, just had a dental (they removed all of her teeth, her teeth were in such terrible shape), and is micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $350.

ul> You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
