Dogs Needing Homes

Breed: Terrier

Age: Young
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Description: She is a buff colored, medium sized, 6 month old, wired haired terrier mix, who is just full of love and energy. She is VERY bright and loves to play, so she will need a strong leader or she will run the house. With firm commands, patients, and consistency, Crystal is a character and is quick to learn and a pleasure to train. The words "Good Girl" go a long way with her. She would do well in a home with kids over 6 or 7, (only because she would tip younger children over with her enthusiasm) and loves to play with other dogs! We don't have cats so we have no idea how she will react. This is a dog that needs interaction and challenges to keep her from getting bored. We walked around Lake Calhoun with 4 other dogs, all the people, and distractions and she did very well after her initial reactions and settled into the walk quietly. She is quiet in the car and rides in the back. She sleeps and stays in a kennel when we are not home and is well behaved. Crystal will bark at someone at the door or a stranger but will settle quickly if you hush her. She has not had an accident in the house but has not asked to go out, she just follows the other dogs in and out. If you are looking for an active member of the family and a dog that can be trained to do special things, this is the dog for you! She is sure to make you smile with her funny ways and loving devotion.

Crystal is a 6 month old terrier mix who weighs about 20 pounds. She came to use from a shelter in Arkansas and she is spayed, up to date on shots, front lined, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $350.

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
