Dogs Needing Homes

Ali

Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Description: : Check out those big sweet eyes!!! This little bundle of love has been thru so much! She was a puppy mill breeder for 9 years and is deaf. (they let her ear infection go too long with out care) When she was spayed, they had to remove all of her teeth because they were so rotten. Her tounge slightly hangs out one side now. After all that, her every wish is to be near you or on your lap. Foods pretty important too and is very food possesive with other dogs but not people. (she can't bite anymore!) She did really well on a leash and has not had an accident in the house or pen. She howled at 2:00 a.m. to be let out so she didn't have to mess her pen. Ali would most likely be a great bed companion but I have enough in my bed already. Our car rides have gone very well and she loves to ride in my lap or in the back where she can watch this huge new world go by. She walks well on a leash. The only sounds we have heard from her is when she doesn't want to be left alone but not very often. This is a dog that was bred to be a lap dog and deserves her later years to be grand! For an older person or a wheelchair bound person, she would be ideal!

Ali is a 9 year old ruby colored Cavalier who was used as a breeding dog in a puppy mill for her entire life before coming in to rescue. She is 11 pounds, spayed, up to date on shots, de-wormed, frontlined, on heart worm preventative, recently had a dental, and is micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $350.

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
