Dogs Needing Homes
Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie
I've been learning a lot at my foster home. I can now go up the steps from the backyard into the house but going down stairs is still a little scary. Sometimes my foster mom and dad forget that I'm only 4 pounds and that I can't jump off the couch or go downstairs by myself yet, but I remind them with an adorable little whimper that gets them every time!
I'm not yet housebroken so I love to make my mark around the house but for now I wear a belly band to control leakage. My foster and Mom and Dad are trying to get me on a regular potty break schedule but I'll need a family that has a lot of patience and can help me learn where and when to pee.
I love to cuddle, although I get nervous when I get picked up, I absolutely love to be held and adored (can you blame me, I'm so cute). I also love to go on walks with my foster family although I don't know what a leash is or how to walk on one so I'll need to some help in that area too.
Even though I still have a lot to learn, I know that I will make some family very happy. All I want is to be loved and become part of a family. Although, I'm afraid I'm a little too small and anxious to be around tiny kids or another energetic dog, older gentle kids or and older calm dog or cat would be fun! Am I the right dog for you?
Oliver came to us from a commercial breeding facility where he was used as a stud dog. He is tiny, neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on heart worm preventative, frontlined, and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $350.
You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.
Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.
We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue
Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.
You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
