Dogs Needing Homes
Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie
Sarah is the kind of loving companion animal most people are looking for. She likes to follow me everywhere, lap-sits when ever she has the chance and loves to be petted...sleeps with me at night. She likes to run and play and checks out anyone who goes by our fence and is therefore on her property! She is good with other dogs, cat and company. She needs a little more work re: housetraining, but is good if put out regularly and has pee pads where she knows. She has a cute sense of humor and is learning to knit. I can tell because I occasionally find her yarn unrolled out in the yard. She is 8 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She is just the right size for a small friend, but would not like to be an ornament that someone carries in a purse. Sarah was born to be a pet and a friend and deserves that for the rest of her life.
Sarah is a delightful Yorkie who is 5 or 6 years old. She was a breeder mom who only had a number instead of a name, so she is learning that she is Sarah. She is very adaptable and learns quickly. She watches my dogs and follows their leadâ¦if they seem to enjoy something Sarah is right there to learn about it. She is still skittish if you go to pick her up, but comes very close, clearly wanting to sit with me. When she does, she loves to cuddle close and be petted. She is doing pretty well on pee pads and outside. It will not take much to complete her house training. She needs to be taught about what fun walking on a leash will be. This little girl does not have far to go before she will be the center of a home that will love her.
Sarah is a retired breeding dog from a commercial breeding facility. She is spayed, up to date on shots, micro-chipped, dewormed, frontlined, micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $350.
You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.
Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.
We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue
