Dogs Needing Homes

Chico

Breed: Chihuahua

Age: Adult
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Description: My name is Chico. I am happy to be rescued from a puppy mill. I am 7 yrs old. I like living with 2 other small dogs, I am quiet , but occasionally will let out a cute little "yip". My foster mom is training me to walk with a leash. I am learning to go potty outside, but sometimes I forget. I like to be picked up and lifted onto the couch so I can snuggle with you. My foster mom carries me up and down stairs, because I haven't figured out how to climb up and down stairs yet. I love to eat my kibble mixed with canned dog food. I have a thyroid condition which causes bald patches on my back. I take 2 thyroid pills a day, which my foster mom hides in my canned dog food. I like to sleep in bed with you. I like to be cuddled.

He is neutered, up to date on his shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, de-wormed, frontlined, and micro-chipped and even just had a dental! His adoption fee is $325.

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philisophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
