Dogs Needing Homes

Lucy

Breed: Miniature Pinscher

Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Description: Lucy is a sweet, small, purebred min pin. Lucy is a cuddler and loves one on one attention. Lucy is used to being an only dog but manages well with other cats and dogs in her foster home. Lucy has been around small children and enjoys their company. Lucy loves walks. Lucy is also a dog who respects a families' schedule. She transitioned to her foster home's schedule beautifully and fell right in line of the daily rutine. Lucy is completely housetrained and has never had a potty accident in her foster home. Lucy is also crate trained and used to being in her crate while her people are out of the house. She seems more comfortable sleeping in an open crate or dog bed at night instead of in the people's bed. Lucy would be a great companion for any family.

Lucy is 5 years old and was surrendered by a loving couple who's son had developed a severe allergy to her. She is house trained, knows several commands, and is very sweet. She gets along with other dogs, too.

Lucy has Addison's disease, which is very managable and simply requires that she take a pill with her dinner each night and get a shot at the beginning of each month. The pills are about $4 per month and the shots are about $20 per month. Every six months she needs her blood levels checked and that is about $25. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, heart worm tested, is on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, has been frontlined, and micro-chipped and even just had a dental! Her adoption fee is $350.
