Dogs Needing Homes

Breed: Schnauzer

Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Description: Maple is a black and silver Miniature Schnauzer. She weighs approx 13lb and is estimated to be less than 5 years of age. Maple is a puppy mill rescue. She gets along well with the other dogs here and she seems to be following their lead. She is doing excellent with house training and she is doing well on a leash. Maple does have some emotional scars from the mill. She is skittish and she will run is she hears a loud noise. Maple’s new family will have to be understanding about her insecurities. They will need to be patient and give her time to come around. She does not like to be crated which is understandable since she spent the majority of her life in one. Maple can be trusted to sleep happily in her own doggy bed at night. Because she is so skittish, she will not be adopted out to a home with small children. *Maple must go to a home that already has a resident dog.* She is gentle, calm, and shy and she is understandably scared at the moment. Maple is spayed, Heartworm negative, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and has received a dental. She will have her first haircut soon. Her adoption fee is $300.
