Dogs Needing Homes

Breed: Chihuahua

Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Description: Cha Cha B is six years old and was surrendered because the son of the family has a neurological disorder that made it impossible for him to learn appropriate behavior around this little dog. Fearing that he may do damage to Cha Cha B, the family made a difficult decision to sadly surrendered her to SDR, knowing it was in her best interest. She’s adjusting well in her new foster home, becoming more comfortable & confident each day.

Cha Cha B loves to sit in your lap & cuddle with you at night. Her foster family knows she is a loyal dog – she likes to sit on the exact spot on the couch where her previous owner sat & she looks for her. She is learning to trust & be comfortable with her foster family so with time, she will be loyal to her new forever family. She’s smart & trainable. She enjoys playing with her stuffed animals & tossing her bones around. She is timid of big dogs but loves to play with the foster family’s Corgi-Chihuahua.

She will bark at noises and likes to watch out the window to be “guard dog” but she is responding well to a spray bottle and can learn when barking is not appropriate. She is shy of strangers. She enjoys car rides & going for walks. She gets so excited when she sees the leash!

Cha Cha B was not familiar with cats. She is learning to adjust with her foster family’s 2 resident cats.

Her adoption fee is $250 dollars, Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs. YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO MAKE AN ADOPTION REQUEST.
