Bear is 10 years old and blind in one eye.He weighs 15.5 pounds. His vision in the other eye is very poor and it appears he is developing cataracts ,and he may be able to see shadows only, poor guy. He needs eye drops put in his good eye, or to have it wiped with a warm wash cloth a few times a day. His guardian died and even though he was a well-cared for indoor dog, the people who took him after his person died kept him outside and he didn't get much attention for a while. They also shaved his gorgeous coat, but hopefully it will grow back beautifully. Due to his blindness, he cannot go to a home with children and will need to go to a home that can understand his handicap. He does not like to be picked up, it scares him and is probably due to his blindness and not understanding. If left to learn his surroundings on his own, he is a very lovable little guy. He loves to sit on the couch next to you or even in your lap. He loves getting little treats, and enjoys being petted and loved up. Being blind he will need a home that will have patience and have the understanding of the behaviors of a dog that is dealing with blindness.

Bear's adoption fee is $225. It includes a neuter, all shots, de-worming, and heart worm test. Photos coming soon!

You MUST FILL out an ADOPTION application BEFORE you are allowed to meet the animal per determination of SDR. Please note that we do NOT have a shelter and ALL animals are in FOSTER homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals sometimes we cannot answer emails very promptly. IT CAN TAKE 48 HOURS TO A WEEK FOR US TO EVALUATE APPLICATIONS AND THEN WE WILL CONTACT YOU.

We usually do not go to any adoption days at any pet store UNLESS listed
in individual dog's bio.
