Does 9 years old count as a senior?
11/6/2009 6:13 PM
Abesque does her best immitation of Mr. Yuck

I don't know if a nine year old dog qualifies as a senior or not, but it's time for Abesque to be in the spotlight for a bit.  This girl has weathered a lot in her life, and we're looking for a very special person to adopt her.

Abesque is a very sweet and affectionate little girl. She has no teeth due to them all being rotted and broken and they needed to be removed, so her tongue always is hanging out of the right side of her mouth. It's adorable! When she was spayed they also realized that she had a uterine infection from overbreeding. She doesn't bark very much and likes to lay on anything she finds that is soft. She doesn't pay attention to any other dogs or cats and likes to just be near her people. She loves to be held and doesn't mind brushing. She hasn't quite gotten the concept of going potty outside or on peepads, but it will come in time. She does get somewhat jealous when other dogs come around her when she's trying to cuddle, but its understandable, after living in a small kennel for nine years she has to make up for lost time!  Abesque gets extremely anxious when kenneled and needs a home where she will not need to be kenneled at all.

Fill out an adoption application today if you think you have what it takes to be this girl's special person.
