Senior Dog Spotlight: Merry
11/2/2009 4:39 PM
Merry has been with Small Dog Rescue for longer than most of our fosters, and we believe it is because she is a senior. She was rescued from a puppy mill and is learning that life can actually be fun for a dog. Merry has really been coming out of her shell lately. She is learning that she no longer will be mistreated and that humans can actually be nice to her. She's learning to walk on a leash and likes this very much. She tries so hard to have fun, but then gets scared, but its good to see her holding her head up more with her ears standing up and her tail wagging!! Merry gets along with the other dogs including a 60 pounder and doesn't pay any attention to the cats. She would do good in a calm household, no young kids. She so much wants to be a part of everything, and just needs to learn that its ok to have fun. This poor girl has had such a hard life so far - can you help make up for lost time? She is pee pad trained and also catching on to going potty outside.
Merry's adoption fee is $200. She is spayed, up to date on shots, heart worm tested, wormed, and micro-chipped. To apply to adopt Merry, please fill out our adoption application.
