Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota (SDR) is an all-volunteer group committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of dogs 20 pounds and under.

Abdul knows what he wants: love and affection!  He follows his foster mom (or whoever else is home) around the house so he is always available when someone is compelled to give a good rub.  He sleeps next to the bed - and would love sleep on it if he could get up there by himself.   He has proven that he is not fully deaf, as he responds to the resident dog's bark and a loud whistle or clap from mom.  Abdul is a great house dog.  He is very easy to live with and gives back so much love in exchange for his loyal companionship.

Abdul would fit in well with almost any family/home situation.  He would happily live in a house with a big yard or an apartment with someone who would take him out to walk when needed.  As long as he gets his ears scratched and his needs met, he is ready to love you.  He has no problems around other dogs (often ignoring them for attention from people), and has not been tested with cats.  As he is hard of hearing, he would need to be taken out on a lead or in a fenced yard for exercise.  Are you the warm heart this mellow man has been looking for?
