Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota (SDR) is an all-volunteer group committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of dogs 20 pounds and under.

I don't know why, but we have had lots of applications submitted in the past 36 hours, so if any of you out there read my plea and responded, the dogs thank you! The lucky chosen ones have already started primping for their big moment: the home visit.

Can you believe Small Dog Rescue currently has 23 current foster dogs?! For a little tiny rescue, we're doing really well. We still have plenty on the waiting list and requests for help pour in everyday, but it's great to look at all of those furry little faces and know they're headed toward a better life.

We're taking in some dogs from Rural Iowa and South Dakota this week, too. If you ever want to cruise the freeway rockin' out in your car to some classic rock (Journey, anyone?) and save some dogs at the same time, let us know! We could take in more dogs from poorer areas if we had more transport volunteers. [nudge, nudge] ...Don't stop believin'....
