Senior Dog Spotlight

Did you know that not all rescues will accept senior dogs and seniors are often first to be killed in traditional shelters?

Small Dog Rescue routinely takes in seniors, knowing that their vetting costs are generally higher and they tend to take longer to adopt out.  This is because we know that age isn't everything and senior dogs often make some of the most charming companions.

Here are a few reasons to adopt a senior dog:

* They won't chew on everything!

* They're mellow.

* Old dogs CAN learn new tricks.

* They tend to settle in quickly.

* They give a lot of love...

Check out our senior dogs: Rudy the Maltese, Alexi the poodle, Abby the poodle, Abdul the puggle, Merry the chihuahua, and Zeus & Zena the min pin duo.
