Eva the Jack-A-Bee is ready to be adopted!
4/15/2010 10:09 AM
Eva is a Jack Russell / Beagle mix (Jack-A-Bee). She is intelligent and she is learning her commands very, very quickly. She has her sit command down cold! She has been doing okay with house-training, but is still marking every now and then. She is very well-behaved and is learning how to walk on her leash. She is very interested in everything going on around her. She loves to sniff everything during her walks (probably the beagle in her). Her foster home is directly across the street from a large park and she loves going there – several times a day! If she wants to go outside, she will sit by the door.
She is calm during a bath and gets along well with the cats. She has met most of the neighborhood children and their dogs and did great. She has started retrieving tennis balls when we throw them and loves to chase the birds in our yard. Her foster mom doesn't think she'll ever catch one, but she loves it. She’s not much of a barker. She will whine when she wants something or is unhappy. She doesn’t like to be kenneled and cries for a good 20 – 25 minutes. If she is just left in the laundry room, not kenneled, she is just fine. She has not chewed on anything and she's incredibly sweet.
If you're interested in Eva, please fill out an adoption application right away! This girl is ready to go to her forever home.
