A Note from Brandy's New Mom
1/15/2010 10:27 AM
Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to work with Brandi, and prove to her what a kind touch can be. I have to share with you that last nite she jumped up on my recliner and slept next to me. It's so cute as you can tell she wants to be close to me, but is still afraid that I might do something to her. The good thing is that I can see small changes in her everyday. In fact this morning when I was laying in bed with Cloe, Brandi jumped up on the bed, and nuzzled closer to Cloe and me and allowed herself to be petted. It was the first time that she really initiated having me pet her. It was a completely amazing feeling. Cloe is teaching her so much in just the short time they have been together. I know that with time, and patience that Brandi will come out of her shell and be a great additon to my family. She craves the attention, but is still a little hesitant to allow herself to open up completely. I'm looking forward to the day where there is no hesitation on her part (espcially with me). She will have a GREAT life, and be given every comfort that she deserves to make up for the time that she was neglected. That life will soon become a distant memory. Your group of volunteers did an excellent job getting her to where she is at, making my job so much easier.. She is definetely very special, and I love her more and more each day.
We all love these happy reports and SDR will be unvieling a community blog in the near future to encourage all of our supporters to share postings and photos about their positive experiences with our rescue and foster dogs.
