Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota (SDR) is an all-volunteer group committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of dogs 20 pounds and under.

Abel loves kids.  He loves people.  He wants so badly to find someone who can commit to him the way he commits himself to the people around him.  If you're looking for a sweet, loyal, lovable dog, Abel is your man. 

He gets along with other dogs, learned to sit in one morning (what a smart boy!) and even gives hugs around the neck. 

He would make a great companion for a stay at home parent with kids or at least who has kids come to visit frequently because he really enjoys children.  We're all rooting for Abel finding a great home soon.
